My button’s heartbeat

Big and strong –

In black and grey and white.

You’re only the size of a ladybug

Yet you consume me whole.

There’s not a moment I don’t think of you,

Not a moment I’m not overwhelmed.

My button, I’ll keep you protected,

And give you the space to grow.

Who will you be?

What will you make of this world?

The excitement is indescribable -summersaults all day,

Only berries in red can keep me on my toes.

No matter how big you get or how small you stay,

I already know that I will always love you so.
